Forget the "Beauty and Wellness" Industry's Empty Promises, Let's Just Be Well-ish
We tend to think our health is all or none. And to be healthy we must eat only whole foods and count calories and go to the gym for an hour every day and take tons of supplements and lift weights and do hot yoga and drink our body weight in water (laced with green powder, of course) and implement an elaborate skin care routine and use a meditation app every night before bed.
It gets overwhelming, and we know we could NEVER maintain all that stuff. So, instead we do nothing. We’re either the pillar of health and wellness. Or we’re a pile of steaming hot, um, laziness.
But what if for the next 3-6 months we choose to drown out all the noise and simply prioritize the daily three???
1. A fruit or vegetable at every meal
2. 30 minutes of movement on most days of the week
3. 7 hours of uninterrupted time in bed for sleep
Surely we can stick with that, right?
Turns out our health isn’t all or none. We don’t have to do everything to be healthy. And we can make a lot of progress toward feeling well.ish if we start with the daily three.
Now, who’s with me???
